Allow me to compare your wedding to a symphony orchestra.  Intimate  (quartet) or extravagant (full orchestra), to conduct a wonderful wedding, you've got to ensure that everyone's playing from the same sheet of music (the schedule), or you'll get the effect of a grade school band.  Since you're the featured soloist, you  have a coordinator to conduct this symphony you've been working on for months.  You've got qualified specialists (officiant, florist, caterer, DJ, etc.), who know their parts but have never played together before.  Part of the orchestra (wedding party) gets one rehearsal minus the percussion and brass sections (your other vendors), and there's one chance to get it near perfect--your wedding, their one and only performance! --- Elise

Elegant Images by MarkA note to all brides considering a coordinator:

Stop thinking right now! There's nothing to think about; you need a coordinator.

There are about a million and one things going on the day before and the day of the wedding. You don't want to have to worry about those things.

Just enjoy your day and let Elise take care of  your details. It really scares me to think about how I would have decorated the ceremony and reception site in time for the wedding if I hadn't hired Elise.

She's a wealth of knowledge as far as wedding etiquette goes! There is more to it than you think. She has my vote of approval without a doubt. --Kim Daly

Mom & I had so much fun planning everything, that we were unprepared for the organizing part. You came along at the perfect time and "saved the day." ~Tricia
